PROJECTS

Ecofootprint Romania

Ecofootprint Romania aims to equip 60 teachers from 20 high schools in 25% of Romanian countries with tools to educate students on environmental protection, fostering awareness and sustainable habits. It builds on REFE and Sustainaware projects and introduces an ecological footprint calculator for public use. Our partners include Teatrul Vienez de Coipii - Copiii Joacă Teatru (Romania), Institute for Health and Environment (Slovenia), School for Life (Austria), and Babes-Bolyai University (Romania).

BALTFLOODS: Baltic Flood Resilience and Digital Solutions

BALTFLOODS is an INTERREG B Baltic Sea Region-funded project dedicated to enhancing flood preparedness and mitigating runoff pollution in cities across the Baltic Sea region. By leveraging digital and technological solutions and actively involving citizens, BALTFLOODS aims to improve disaster response, reduce stormwater pollution, and promote environmental sustainability.

Through participatory tools, the project empowers citizens and educational institutions to take an active role in flood prevention and water management, fostering greater community resilience to environmental challenges. By facilitating transnational cooperation, BALTFLOODS enables knowledge exchange, policy alignment, and resource pooling, ensuring the scalability and long-term impact of its solutions.

Carpe Europe supports the project lead, City of Lappeenranta, in project management, while playing a key role in citizen engagement as an NGO partner and leading Work Package 3: Transferring Solutions.
